Figure 1 presents the results of question 13b, “Are there any safeguards in the Anti-Terrorism Act intended to protect Canadians rights and freedoms?” This question was asked of visible minorities and non-minorities and presents the percentage of each group who felt that there are safeguards in the Anti-Terrorism Act to protect Canadians rights and freedoms.
The Y axis ranges from 0% to 60%.
On the X axis is the two groups, visible minorities and non-minorities. 55% of non-minorities believed there are safeguards within the Anti-Terrorism Act to protect the rights and freedoms of Canadians, whereas 47% of visible minorities agreed with this statement.
Note that these findings are significant at p < 0.05.
