Commitment
At the Department of Justice, all employees are committed to the highest standards of conduct. We hold ourselves and each other accountable for demonstrating these values and respecting the rules set out in this Code as well as all policies, legislation and professional obligations, where applicable. This includes a commitment to anti-racist and anti-discriminatory behaviours and consulting with departmental experts when unsure about how to approach a particular issue of this nature. Managers are also committed to exercising their authority fairly and equitably, and to addressing inappropriate behaviours as defined by relevant policies and legislation, including this Code. In all interactions, we recognize that every person deserves to be treated with respect.
